Women Impacting
Social Enterprises Initiative

Want to make a difference? Join our Leadership in Action Impact Lab and put your talent were it counts. Angels of Impact is looking for young professionals motivated to tackle poverty alleviation alongside women social entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia. ​
What you will do:
​You will be paired with like-minded change-makers to solve pressing challenges faced by our partner social enterprises. 
​​
How will you help social enterprises:
The eventual goal of the Impact Lab is to prepare these social enterprises for further funding that will drive the growth of their impact. ​

Who Are We Looking For?

For Mentors
Employees with at least 5 years of working experience in areas of finance, and or business development will be preferred . However, we encourage anyone (including men) with a willing heart and prior mentoring experience to apply too.

For Mentees
Employees or interns who are eager to develop their professional skills

How You Benefit

Mentors
  • Apply your expertise to make meaningful social impact
  • Learn social impact-related technical and soft skills (see course outline below)
  • Gain exposure to innovative solutions to social problems in the region
  • Gain experience in leading and nurturing younger mentees
  • Subsidised* travel overseas to engage in hands-on interaction with social enterprises from the region

*up to 50% flight and accommodation expenses covered during on-the-ground visit that lasts up to 4 working days

Mentees
  • Collaborate with working professionals from top-tier firms to craft innovative solutions to challenges faced by social enterprises 
  • Develop professional technical and soft skills through workshops and guidance from mentors
  • Gain exposure to innovative solutions to social problems in the region
  • Subsidised* travel overseas to engage in hands-on interaction with social enterprises from the region

Commitment

From April onwards:
2-3 hours a week 
  • 1.5 hours for workshops on weekends
  • 1.5 hours for team deliverables 

In June:
It will be preferred that you participate in the on-the-ground visit in June that lasts 3-4 working days

Timeline

  • March: Applications & screening of participants (closing date: 2 March 2018)
  • April - May: Workshops conducted for teams, project scoping and problem definition for social enterprises
  • June - July: On-the-ground visits and submission of deliverables
