Kravan House was founded by Thanan Hok in 2003 in an effort to provide training and employment opportunities to both women and men - many of whom are disabled due to landmines, polio and other physical challenges. Having been born with a disability herself, Thanan Hok dedicates herself to eradicating stigma by forming a business where the disabled people are supported, and made to feel like home.
Kravan House has been part of a cross-pollination of art & culture, where Australian Indigenous designs are sustainably sewn into finished products in Cambodia.

The Impact
Kravan House supports 30 disabled sewers with training and income, and also provides housing for the majority of them. They provide equipment for tailoring and sewing, as well as training for the artisans.
With just 12 shewing machines creating Kravan Houses' textile products and accessories, Thanan Hok has created a space for people with disabilities to feel like home.
