Our Mission

To invest in and support women-led, community-rooted, and sustainable enterprises in Southeast Asia. Through our work, we aim to foster gender equity, alleviate poverty, strengthen sustainability, and build climate resilience - creating systemic, long-lasting impact.

Our Vision

A world where gender equity, shared prosperity, and sustainability are woven into the fabric of every community and business. In this future, women are empowered to lead, contribute to the global economy, and shape resilient, regenerative societies.

These values guide how we work, how we build relationships, and how we walk alongside the communities we serve

Sharing one of the founder's story

Our team is led by Laina Greene. She has 15 years of experience in social impact investing, entrepreneurship and 30 years in technology. Besides being the founder of Angels of Impact, she is also an author, senior adjunct lecturer and global thought leader in alternative investing for social and economic justice.

Laina’s journey in social impact work began during her childhood in Singapore. She recalls how her parents always instilled in her a passion for social work and giving back to her community. Her professional life led her to working with the United Nations and other regional nonprofits that made her more aware of inequity around the world.

It was during her entrepreneurial journey running one of the first female-led tech startups in Singapore that she experienced a lot of unconscious biases and understood first-hand the funding gap faced by women in business. During her time in Indonesia, she realised that it was even harder for female entrepreneurs from developing countries. That inspired her to start Angels of Impact. She joined forces with other entrepreneur friends, and together they made Angels of Impact come to life. The rest is history!
