Women Impacting Social Enterprise (WISE) is our flagship capacity-building program that has a vision of building a community of learning and funding support for community-based enterprises in ASEAN. We support social enterprises to become credit-worthy thereby overcoming biases against women entrepreneurs and promoting prosperity for these marginalized communities.
This is not a typical accelerator, workshop or mentorship program but offers extra hands for customised help with the goal of getting funded. We stand for building deep, long-standing relationships through authentic interaction and work on actual business needs to help them get funded.
Our customized capacity building is three-pronged: we focus on business planning, financial literacy and financial planning and funding. Business planning:
We offer customized skills-based volunteering according to each enterprise’s needs:
Experts are paired according to their skillsets
A scope of work is developed together with the social enterprises to identify their needs and ensure that it remains a top priority throughout the program
We adopt a 2-way, consultative approach as it allows room for transparency (building trust) and empowerment (learning on both ends, from the volunteers and the social enterprises
